Prof. Delavar proposed the establishment of dual degree programs, the provision of international certificates to graduates of The University of Applied Science and Technology, the collaboration of the Chinese Academy of Sciences with the establishment of a regional or international center for higher education in Iran via Holding skills higher education workshops in Iran and signing a memorandum of Understanding. He added that Uast is keen to promote cooperation with Chinese Academy of Sciences in creating a ranking system of higher vocational and educational training, conducting joint research to optimize high-level skills training, documenting and defining new occupations, and defining higher education skills, Having cooperation in doing joint international workshops, conducting joint research within the framework of the Silk Road Project, creating a joint investment model for conducting educational activities with the help of private universities, holding joint conferences, allocating scholarships to strengthen the exchange of students and academic staff, and researchers should be considered for the both sides.
It should be noted that the Chinese Academy of Sciences has more than 100 institutes and three universities, 89 laboratories, more than 400 affiliated companies and an overall 8 million US dollor budget is one of the most prestigious research and development agencies in China. Dr. Ziyaeemehr, UAST Director General for Professional Competence, explained the goals and plans for evaluation, supervision and professional competence, knowledge transfer, the creation of centers of professional competence before entering the market.
In this meeting, Dr. Hamidian, Associate Professor of Environmental Engineering and Environmental Sciences of the Natural Resources of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources of University of Tehran who had himself researched for some time in the Academy, suggested that a research center will be established in cooperation with University of Tehran to cooperate with the Chinese Academy of Sciences in the areas of water, environment, natural resources and waste management.
At the end, the parties expressed hope for the exchange of scholars, teachers and students and to follow the joint scientific cooperation in the areas of interest.
